Ayedaş invested TL 3 billion in Istanbul in 8 years

Sustaining its activities with the purpose to supply high-quality and uninterrupted energy in the Anatolian Side of Istanbul, Ayedaş has been carrying out its operations uninterruptedly since 2013, when electricity distribution activities were transferred to the private sector.

Ayedaş has invested TL 3 billion in its service area by the end of 2021 since it was transferred to the private sector in 2013.

Carrying out its activities with the awareness on the significance of electricity at every step of the modern life, Ayedaş has commissioned new investments as part of its activities in full compliance with the legislation, and also completed the maintenance works for the network and equipment.

Accordingly, the company carried out maintenance works of approximately TL 209 million between 2017 and 2021 in addition to its investments of TL 3 billion. As part of the maintenance works, 24,872 km of overhead/underground grid lines were maintained, while 30,206 equipment and grid components were rehabilitated.

The company, with its core responsibilities including the operation of the electricity distribution network, maintenance to avoid possible wear-outs, fault repair works due to natural events such as floods, heavy snow, storms or 3rd parties, and investments to meet the increasing energy demand, has strengthened the Anatolian Side of Istanbul since the date of the transfer.

The length of the underground grid increased by 1.5 times, approximately 170,000 faults fixed

In the meantime, Ayedaş has increased the length of the underground grid by 67% and the substation installed capacity by 31% to meet the requirements.

Hence, 955 substations with an installed capacity of 1,612 megawatts, 3,283 kilometers of underground low voltage lines and 2,248 kilometers of underground medium voltage lines were included to the electricity distribution grid in the Anatolian Side of Istanbul.

Carrying out the grid maintenance and fault processes with the same quality and devotion for 8 years, Ayedaş swiftly responded to 169,316 faults in Istanbul Anatolian Side to ensure energy supply and continuity.

  • Over 10 million customer demands met

The company sustained its investments to meet the increasing energy demand and prevent unscheduled outages due to faults with uncertain durations and timing.

Carefully planning the scheduled interruptions required for the Occupational Health and Safety of its site employees during the commissioning of the investments, Ayedaş shared the times and locations of the interruptions on its website 48 hours in advance so that the interruptions do not adversely affect its customers. The Company also informed its customers, who keep their contact and address information up to date, about the interruptions via text messages.

Ayedaş continues to serve with its 375 Call Center employees to assist its customers in all issues they may require including the scheduled and unscheduled outages.

Various channels developed for the customers, including 186 Call Center, Ayedaş 186 Mobile Application, Ayedas.com.tr Web Site, WhatsApp Hotline at 0 (312) 186 00 00 and social media channels, enabled Ayedaş to evaluate and meet the demands of a total of 10,234,000 applications.
