As part of the investment which is composed of three phases, Ayedaş installed medium voltage undersea cables of 13 kilometers in total; i.e., app. 7 kilometers between Dragos and Burgazada , app. 4.5 kilometers between Dragos and Heybeliada, and app. 1.5 kilometers between Büyükada and Heybeliada.

Accordingly, the company carried out maintenance works of approximately TL 209 million between 2017 and 2021 in addition to its investments of TL 3 billion. As part of the maintenance works, 24,872 km of overhead/underground grid lines were maintained, while 30,206 equipment and grid components were rehabilitated.

In the meantime, Ayedaş has increased the length of the underground grid by 67% and the substation installed capacity by 31% to meet the requirements.
Hence, 955 substations with an installed capacity of 1,612 megawatts, 3,283 kilometers of underground low voltage lines and 2,248 kilometers of underground medium voltage lines were included to the electricity distribution grid in the Anatolian Side of Istanbul.
Carrying out the grid maintenance and fault processes with the same quality and devotion for 8 years, Ayedaş swiftly responded to 169,316 faults in Istanbul Anatolian Side to ensure energy supply and continuity.
The company sustained its investments to meet the increasing energy demand and prevent unscheduled outages due to faults with uncertain durations and timing.
Carefully planning the scheduled interruptions required for the Occupational Health and Safety of its site employees during the commissioning of the investments, Ayedaş shared the times and locations of the interruptions on its website 48 hours in advance so that the interruptions do not adversely affect its customers. The Company also informed its customers, who keep their contact and address information up to date, about the interruptions via text messages.
Ayedaş continues to serve with its 375 Call Center employees to assist its customers in all issues they may require including the scheduled and unscheduled outages.

A total of approximately 1000 personnel and 290 vehicles, including the teams that will support the operation personnel, if required, were put on alert in line with the disaster plan.
AYEDAŞ put all its efforts to complete its preparations in order to prevent the adverse impacts of the energy transmission lines due to the winter conditions expected to be effective in the Anatolian Side of Istanbul and to repair any power failures that may occur due to disasters as soon as possible. The Company stored the required equipment, materials and vehicles to provide uninterrupted energy.
As part of the preparations, AYEDAŞ has assigned approximately 1000 personnel including teams to support the personnel on the field, if required, to rapidly transfer to the designated points in the event of any crisis. The clothing and equipment requirements of the personnel for the challenging winter conditions were completed.

In addition to the investments made throughout the year, AYEDAŞ has its field teams and inventories ready for the heavy snowfall expected in the upcoming days and has also put into operation an investment of 42 million TL for these operations.

AYEDAŞ teams carried out maintenance works of the 36,023 lighting fixtures in Adalar, Ataşehir, Beykoz, Çekmeköy, Kadıköy, Kartal, Maltepe, Pendik, Sancaktepe, Sultanbeyli, Şile, Tuzla, Ümraniye and Üsküdar neighbourhoods for a better-lit city; besides the maintenance works carried out at 2667 panels, 40 substations and 4084 distribution hubs. Moreover, maintenance works for a 1270-kilometre-long line were also completed.

Laying a total of 340-kilometre-long new cables to offer better services to its approximately 3 million customers that the company provides service, AYEDAŞ teams moved 331.5-km-long cable underground. The Company completed the assembling works for 5,572 new lighting fixtures.
